Loveanimalss.com – It was not expected to find the beloved pet dog after nearly 2 months of disappearance, on the 57th day, a miracle happened to the family of Mrs. Carole King.
The story of the 57-day journey of Mrs. Carole King and her husband, Mr. Verne, to find a lost pet dog published in The New York Times recently touched many people’s hearts. It happened in July, when Carole and her husband brought Katie – their 7-year-old pet dog of the border collie breed – from Washington to Montana (USA) on vacation.
On the evening of July 20, Carole’s family arrived in the city of Kalispell. The couple left Katie in the room and went outside, unaware that it was the last time they saw their pet before Katie went missing for nearly two months.
When they returned to the hotel, they were shocked to find that Katie was not in the room. The world fell apart when Carole and her husband heard from the hotel receptionist that a few hours earlier, they had seen a dog rush out of the hotel, possibly panicking because of the sound of a thunderstorm.
After more than 50 days of searching with no trace of Katie, Carole began to lose spirits and wanted to return to Spokane for a weekend getaway.
Her husband, along with some new friends in Kalispell, encouraged her to stay another week. Carole was deeply moved by the kindness of the people here, where someone invited her and her husband to live in during the search, or there were landowners who allowed her to enter their land to find Katie.

On the morning of September 15, Carole received word that someone had seen Katie in her backyard. Immediately, she and a friend rushed there. Carole cried tears of joy, watching Katie sleep soundly in the car, she was soaked, dehydrated and lost about 7kg. She brought Katie to see the vet, who couldn’t hold back his tears when he found out that it was Katie, the dog that the whole city of Kalispell was looking for.
