Loveanimalss.com – Most of us would never consider inflicting bodily agony on an animal. I’m sure there are many of us who cringe every time we accidently walk on our dogs’ paws.
I recall treading on my cat’s paw by mistake in high school, and it took me two days to recover from the incident. That is why it is so difficult for me to comprehend someone purposefully injuring an animal, especially one that is still a baby.
Unfortunately, there are cruel people in this world who have no respect for the life of another creature. Consider a woman who had no qualms about dropping a group of young kittens into a river in a plastic bag.
Fortunately for the little felines, assistance was on the way. A group of children playing on the banks of the Tuga River in Nowy Dwór Gdaski, northern Poland, discovered the kittens. The youngsters hurried to contact 911, and the firefighters arrived shortly thereafter. However, because their poles were too short, they were unable to reach the plastic bag containing the kittens. That’s when a passerby came to the rescue.
Mrs. Klaudia happened to be nearby with her four-year-old daughter when she noticed what was going on. That’s when she decided to take off her clothing and swim after the plastic bag to save the kittens. When the bag was opened, three baby kittens were discovered within. Unfortunately, one of them had already died by the time assistance came.
People were curious about what transpired, so the Pomorska Policja launched an inquiry. They revealed surveillance camera footage of a lady approaching the water’s edge with a plastic bag.
She walks away after throwing it into the river. The cops were able to make a successful arrest based on the film. A 67-year-old lady in the area was detained and charged in connection with the animal cruelty crime.
Many people may be wondering what happened to the two surviving kittens, but everything seemed to work out in the end for them. Mrs. Klaudia brought the kittens to the doctor and subsequently told Polish news source TVPWorld that they’d recovered from their trauma. “They eat, they take care of themselves, and I hope everything will be well with them,” she said.
