A small cat stuck in a Phoenix, Arizona, sewage drain meowed until rescue came. After getting many reports from customers who heard “meowing” coming from an underground pipe, Phoenix Fire Station 61 responded to save the ginger cat. “We save cats out of trees, sewers, or anywhere they may be!” said the Phoenix Fire Department.

Emergency Animal Medical Technicians from the Arizona Humane Society (AHS) aided in the two-day rescue, which required “all hands on deck.”
According to AHS, the small kitten had been screaming for aid for a week. But there’s no one to help him get out of here. And fortunately, a kind person saw it and called the rescue team for help. When the rescue squad opened the manhole cover to seek for him, he took off down the sewer.

The firefighter had supposedly been chucking chicken at him for the last week to ensure he didn’t go hungry. Rescuers opted to wait and prepared a trap with a can of cat food inside.
They returned the next day and discovered the ginger kitten inside the crate. The rescue squad was overjoyed because they had finally caught the kitten. “Aww, there he is,” one of the firefighters said as the cat was removed from the hole.
He was sent to AHS’s Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital for an examination and flea treatment.

AHS posted the rescue footage on Facebook, thanking the fire department for their assistance. “Wags and purrs for our Phoenix Fire Station 61 pals!”
The cute and sociable kitty could have already found a forever home. “Word on the street is that one of the firefighters on the scene is interested in adopting the little squirt,” stated the author.
However, there are many more cats and dogs in the shelter waiting for their forever home. Check them out all here.
