(Love animals) – A stray cat four years old was hit by a bus and surprisingly survived. The cat was plainly hurt, yet she ran as people attempted to assist her.

RSPCA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) Southridge Animal Centre became aware of the injured cat and spent more than two weeks looking for her. After posting on social media, contacting local vets, and putting fliers, the wounded cat was found and saved 16 days later.

She was brought to a veterinarian, who began treating her severe head injuries right away. Because the kitty couldn’t eat due to a damaged jaw, she was extremely weak and underweight. After the accident, one of her eyes was injured and had to be removed.

“It’s a marvel she’d lived with those horrible injuries, especially since they’d left her unable to feed,” Southridge assistant manager Mona Jorgensen said. She demonstrated that she was a true warrior.”

Trudie was named by the staff after St Gertrude, the Patron Saint of Cats.

The tenacious feline spent the following six months recuperating and capturing the hearts of all staff members. While no one wanted to see Trudie leave, the time had come to find her a loving permanent home.

Amy Hearne, an animal care assistant who assisted with Trudie’s recovery, described her as “cheeky, friendly, and playful; she’s such a character and will bring so much joy to the right home.” She’s still a baby and loves to play, but she’s also a genuine cuddlebug who will curl up on your lap as soon as you sit down.”

Dennis Hooper and his girlfriend Shirley Carter came up to provide the adorable tortoiseshell with a forever home. “We’re great animal lovers, particularly cats, and I knew I’d chose an animal that had gone through the roughest experience so I could show them a nice life,” the pair explained.

Trudie will be missed by the employees and volunteers, but Dennis has encouraged them to visit her whenever they wish.
